Property Tax Refund Program
The Legislature provided minimum funding for the property tax refund program for low
income households in the State. Refunds are applicable to 2018 property taxes.
Taxpayers may qualify if:
They own their home;
Have paid 2018 property taxes on that home in a timely manner;
Have been a Wyoming resident for the past five years;
Have a household income of less than $34,300 to $65,600 (the greater of half of the median household income for the state or
county in which you reside); and,
Own other real estate, bank accounts and investments, motor vehicles in excess of one per adult member of household,
excluding retirement accounts (IRAs, 401K plans, etc.), worth LESS than $120,339 per adult household member.
Applications must be completed and filed with either the Department of Revenue or the county treasurer no later than the first Monday
in June, which falls on June 3rd this year. This year refunds will be adjusted based on funding available.
